This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
So, spur of the moment I decided to start looking at photography degrees. Then I found out I could do an entire bachelors degree ONLINE. I'm a single mom working part time. Online classes = amazing. So I start looking into two schools, Academy of Art and The Art Institute of Pittsburgh respectfully. I get all the information and am still considering to attend school in the fall.
Sounds all happy right?
Ha ha. Silly you.
Two days ago an adviser called me from AoA. Talk it over with me, said that once I fill out the application that I could start in June. Wow, June. I know right? That's soon. I asked that because I didn't have the $100 for the fee if they could waive it. He said no. Well damn, that puts a damper on the whole idea now doesn't it.
Or does it?
Fifteen minutes after I got off the phone with him, an adviser called me from AIP. Talked about the same things, she went into more detail about the school and such. She saw that I had started to apply. I said yes, but I couldn't afford the application fee (which was only $50.) She talked to the Director (whomever that is) and the Director forced my application through. Without the fee. Me = Ecstatic. Apparently I show a hell of a lot of initiative. What me? I mean, really. I only work as a photographer, have three versions of Photoshop, Lightroom 2, the new Master Collection, and a Nikon D80. Me, ambitious? ^_~
So I'm all excited to hopefully start in the fall, right?
